Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any water filtration work quoted, supplied, installed or serviced by Water Filtration Sydney (ABN 98 700 073 016). Where we have given you a written quote, the quote and our Terms of Sale also apply, and to the extent of any inconsistency the quote prevails.

1. Using this website

The information on this site is general in nature and published in good faith. Water treatment depends on your water source, your plumbing and your property, so nothing here is advice about your specific situation. Do not rely on it as a substitute for a site inspection and a written quote.

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Content, images, layout and code on this site are our property or used with permission, and may not be copied or republished without our written consent.

2. Enquiries and quotes

Submitting the quote form or calling us does not create a contract. It is a request for a quote.

Quotes are given in writing, are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise, and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless the quote says otherwise. A quote covers only the scope described in it.

Where we quote without inspecting the property, the quote is an estimate based on what you have told us and is subject to confirmation on site.

3. Licensing

Plumbing work is carried out by or under the supervision of a NSW licensed plumber. Our NSW Licensed Contractor and Qualified Supervisor number is 358626C. Where the work requires a Certificate of Compliance, we will issue one. We do not carry out electrical work; if a system requires a power point or hard wiring, a licensed electrician must do that part.

4. Access to your property

You must give us safe and clear access to the work area at the agreed time, including access to the water main, meter, isolation valves and any under-sink or roof cavity space the job requires. You are responsible for securing pets and for telling us about anything on site that could affect safety or the work: asbestos, concealed services, structural issues, or previous unlicensed plumbing.

If we attend and cannot start because access is not available or the site is not ready, we may charge a call-out fee to cover the wasted attendance. We will tell you the amount before we attend.

5. Variations

If we find conditions that were not reasonably apparent when we quoted (corroded or non-standard pipework, insufficient pressure, restricted space, or work needed to bring existing plumbing up to standard), we will stop, explain what is involved, and give you a price before doing the extra work. You are not charged for a variation you have not approved.

6. Water quality and performance

Filtration systems reduce specified contaminants to the extent stated by the manufacturer for that product. Performance depends on your incoming water, correct cartridge selection, and replacing cartridges at the recommended intervals. We will tell you what a system is and is not designed to remove before you commit.

We do not warrant that a system will achieve a particular test result unless we have expressly agreed that in writing after water testing. Cartridges are consumable items with a finite life and are not covered by the product warranty.

7. Warranty

We provide a lifetime warranty on our installation labour and pass through the manufacturer's product warranty, which is 3 years on the equipment we typically install. Full details, exclusions and how to claim are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, unauthorised alteration by others, freezing, water hammer, mains pressure or supply faults outside our control, or failure to replace cartridges at the recommended intervals.

8. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

9. Liability

Subject to clause 8 and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited, at our option, to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having them resupplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from pre-existing defects in your plumbing that we did not cause and were not engaged to rectify.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you accept a quote is the version that applies to that job.
