Terms of Sale

Last updated: 4 September 2026

These terms govern the sale of water filtration equipment and installation services by Water Filtration Sydney (ABN 98 700 073 016), NSW Licence No. 358626C. They apply together with our Terms & Conditions. Where your written quote says something different, the quote prevails.

1. Formation of the contract

We give you a written quote. A contract is formed when you accept that quote in writing (including by email or SMS) or pay a deposit against it. Enquiring, calling, or submitting the website form does not form a contract.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless the quote says otherwise.

A quoted installed price covers the scope described in the quote: the equipment, the labour to install it, and making good in the immediate work area. It does not cover repairs to existing plumbing, electrical work, cabinetry alterations, or anything else not listed.

We tell you the ongoing cartridge replacement cost alongside the installed price so you can compare systems properly. Cartridge prices are current at the date of quotation and may change over time.

3. Variations

If conditions are found on site that were not reasonably apparent when we quoted, we will stop and give you a price for the additional work before proceeding. You are never charged for a variation you have not approved. If you decline a variation that is necessary to complete the work safely or to standard, we may cancel and charge only for work already properly done.

4. Deposits

We may ask for a deposit to secure a booking or to cover equipment we order specifically for you. The amount, if any, is stated on your quote. Deposits are applied against the final invoice. Refunds on cancellation are dealt with in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

5. Payment

The balance is payable on completion of the installation unless your quote sets out different terms. We accept bank transfer and card payment in person. We do not take payment through this website.

Invoices not paid by the due date may attract interest at a reasonable commercial rate, and we may recover reasonable costs of collection. We will always contact you before taking any such step.

6. Title and risk

Risk in the equipment passes to you on installation, or on delivery if it is delivered to you separately. Legal title stays with us until we have been paid in full. Until then you must not sell, remove or encumber the equipment. This clause creates a security interest for the purposes of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth).

7. Completion and compliance

Work is complete when the system is installed, commissioned, tested for leaks and demonstrated to you. Where the work requires a Certificate of Compliance, we will issue one. We will also show you where the isolation valve is and how to change the cartridges.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel before work begins. What happens to your deposit depends on whether equipment has been ordered. See our Returns & Refunds Policy. If we cancel or cannot complete, you are refunded in full for anything not delivered.

Where the law gives you a cooling-off right, for example under the unsolicited consumer agreement provisions of the Australian Consumer Law, if we approached you rather than you approaching us, that right applies and we will tell you about it in writing at the time.

9. Warranty

Lifetime warranty on our installation labour; manufacturer's product warranty on the equipment, typically 3 years. Terms, exclusions and how to claim are in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

10. Consumer guarantees

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss. For failures that are not major, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

11. Liability

Subject to clause 10 and to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the goods or services or paying the cost of having them resupplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
